歡迎 [怡方] 做我家的新成員 ! 幾年前，[怡方] 投資在 [麗霞] 身上，今天 [怡方] 得到了回報 ; 是一生一世的愛和幸福 ; 這是一個精明的選擇。 繼續努力下去 ! 現在，讓我告訴您是多麼的幸運 !

Perhaps, it is Nature’s way to have the first born care about the family, so that the mother can have another child. If this is the case, Patricia is a typical example of a first born caring about her family.
也許，人類天性是關心家庭的，因此做母親的才能夠有多個孩子。 如果這是樣， [麗霞] 就是一個天性關心家庭的典型例子。

While she was a small child, she always used her limited allowance to buy things for mommy, daddy and her little sister. Most of the time, she had nothing for herself.
We used to laugh at her saying that ‘Patricia, you don’t know how to count’.
當她是一個小孩子時，她總是把她有限的零用錢, 為她的媽媽，爸爸和妹妹買東西。 大多時間，她自己甚麼都沒有。我們過去常常嘲笑她說 :
‘[麗霞] ! 妳就是不曉得為自己打算。’

I still remember the moment, when I walk into the house on my birthday, and found a Ping Pong Table there. ‘Patricia, what is going on?’
我仍然記得, 在我生日那天，當我走進家門那一刻，我見到一張乒乓球桌子。 [麗霞] ! 發生甚麼事？’

Daddy, last month you came to my school on family night and looked at the Ping Pong Table for a long time.You must want a Ping Pong Table very badly.
That is why I convince Pauline to join me to buy you this Ping Pong Table.
I hope you like it.’
‘爸爸 ! 上個月夜晚, 你在家庭日來到我的學校, 並且凝望著乒乓球桌子很久。你一定很需要一張乒乓球桌子了。我於是說服 [寶蓮] 與我合資為你買這張乒乓球桌子。希望你喜歡。

‘Patricia, it is not the Ping Pong Table but the memory of playing Ping Pong reminds me of ‘When we were young, one day. I wish you can bring that back.’ I never realized that she took it seriously.
[麗霞] ! 我不是需要一張乒乓桌子 ! 我只是藉著回憶打乒乓球, 而嚮往自己年青時的日子 ! 我希望你能夠把我年青時的日子帶回來。’我只不過凝望著乒乓桌子, 想不到 [麗霞] 如此認真。  

After she graduated from Stanford University, she started working.
By then, whenever she came across a good restaurant, she would bring the family to share the experience. She also knows that ‘Men do not live on bread alone. That is why she brought the family to popular shows, exciting events, and interesting places.
In order to bring back my ‘When we were young ‘memory, she bought me a ticket to see ‘The Lion King. Patricia, I want to be young but not that young!
[麗霞] 在 [史丹佛] 大學畢業后，開始工作。每當她偶然發現一家好餐廳時，她會帶家庭所有成員分甘共味。她也明白, 我們不光是吃飽了肚子就算數。
所以, 她還帶我們看受歡迎的表演，參加刺激的活動和遊覽有趣的地方。
為了滿足 ‘當我年青時’的回憶, 她為我買一張票, 看 [迪士尼] 樂園
的 [獅子王歌舞劇] !’ [麗霞] 啊 ! 我雖然想變得年青一點 ! 可不是要我回到童年吧 !

In the winter, she brought the family to the South to avoid the cold and rainy season in the Bay area. After several years, there are no more practical places to go.
However, this did not stop Patricia’s determination.
在冬天，她帶我們到南方避開海灣地區寒冷和多雨的季節。
幾年之后，雖然她再沒有藉口帶我們到其他的地方去。
不過，這沒有停止[麗霞] 的決心。

‘Daddy, let us to Safari!’
‘Safari, you mean hunting in Africa?’
‘Yes, hunting in Africa’
‘Why?’
‘Daddy, if you don’t do it now, you will never do it. ‘
Therefore, here we came, Kruger National Park in South Africa.
‘爸爸 ! 讓我們旅行狩獵 ! ‘
¯旅行狩獵 ! 你是說到非洲旅行狩獵？’
¯對了 ! 到非洲旅行狩獵 !’
¯為甚麼？’
¯爸爸 ! 如果你現在不到非洲旅行狩獵 , 年紀再大些, 你想去也不能夠去了。’
因此，我們一起出發，到南非的 [克魯格] 國家公園旅行狩獵。

She loves white water rafting and wanted the family shares the excitement with her.
That is why she bought the family to Zambia to enjoy the most exciting commercial white water rafting on the Zamzimbes
River under Victoria Fall.
[麗霞] 喜愛乘筏滑浪飄流, 而且希望我們也和她分享乘筏滑浪飄流的剌激。
因此, 她帶我們去了非洲的 [贊比亞] ! 在 [維多利亞瀑布] 下的 [贊占比河上, 一起乘筏滑浪飄流, 準備付費用讓我們感受一下這個剌激的玩意。

I told my friends about it and they asked me ‘Have you ever done any white water rafting?’
‘No’
‘Are you out of your mind? ‘
Then they told me about the incidents and accidents in Sacramento River.
Then they said,’ Sacramento River is no match to Zamzimbes
River.’
我將這件事告訴我的朋友, 他們問我¯ ; ‘你曾經試過乘筏滑浪飄流嗎 ?’
沒有 !’
你瘋了嗎 ?’我的朋友說。
之後, 他們告訴我, 有關 [薩克拉門托河] 乘筏滑浪飄流發生意外的事件。他們說，[薩克拉門托河] 的急流遠比不上 [贊占比河] 的凶。

I tried to talk her out of it or at least myself out of it.
‘Daddy, if you don’t do it now, you will never do it.
Don’t you want to have the ‘when we were young, one day’ feeling?’
我想說服 [麗霞] 不要參加這些玩意 ! 至少說服她不要勉強我參加這些玩意 !
爸爸 ! 如果你現在不去非洲乘筏滑浪飄流 , 年紀再大些, 你想去也不能夠去了。你不是想尋回自己年青時的感覺嗎 ?’

I am glad I did. It is an experience lasts for the rest of my life.
I can never forget the moment that the raft flipped and I saw the sky under my feet.
我很高興我嘗試了乘筏滑浪飄流。
這次經驗使我終生難忘。
我永遠不能忘記橡皮筏翻倒的一刻, 我兩腳朝天的窘態。

Fortunately, or unfortunately, she did not like Bungee jump, otherwise she could have talked me to take the highest Bungee jump in the world at Victoria Fall.
也是幸運，也是遺憾，她不喜歡 [笨豬跳，
否則, 她一定會說服我, 在 [維多利亞瀑布] 前, 參加世界上最高的 [笨豬跳。

Patricia, you are a marvelous girl with generosity, kindness and understanding.
I am grateful to have a daughter like you who has bought life, excitement and affection to the family.
On your wedding day, I have nothing to offer but my sincere wishes that may God bless you and Yi Fong with love and happiness.
Ladies and gentlemen, please join me to welcome Yi-Fong to the family !
[麗霞] ! 你是一個慷慨，好心腸，和諒解別人的奇特女孩。我感謝有一個像妳這樣的女兒。妳已經將生命, 興奮和愛帶給我們。今天, 是妳大婚的日子, 我沒有甚麼可以給妳, 只好誠摯的祝願, 望上帝賜給妳和 [怡方] 恩愛和幸福。
