作者簡介 :  吳銓高, 筆名「二覺陀」或「Charles Wu」。 廣東省高明縣男士。

台灣成功大學, 機械系[1959-1963]畢業。曾在香港『南海紗厰』當助理工程師。

其後轉職香港公務員, 現已退休。用電腦以 GOOGLE 搜尋 [吳銓高], 就能看到他的作品。

承歡在港尚黃毛 , 小杖甘捱大杖逃。百感鰥夫徒怨懟 ; 無知稚子愛啼號。
挑燈對影心思故 ; 借酒消愁淚濺袍。繞膝趨庭情意切 , 此生何以報劬勞。

To Remember My Father【By Charles Wu】
Living with my father in Hong Kong, I was still a kid.
When he used a big stick to punish me, I hid.
Since the death of my mother, he harbored great sadness.
Dealing with an ignorant child who cried, he was helpless.
He always sat alone at night and sighed about the past.
He drowned his sorrows in liquor as his future could not be forecast.
I consoled him by showing filial obedience.
Never could I pay my debt of gratitude in his presence.

Daybreak In Spring【By Charles Wu】
Before dawn, most of the mountains are in darken.
The fishing boats drifting in river like stars twinkling.
While nearby buildings are covered in the fog thicken.
The Colorful clouds float around the sun rising.
Park was brightened in sudden by twilight's glaring.
Gulls and egrets flap their wings.
Oriole twitters, swallow sings.
Dews drop on peach blossoms, spring is cheering.

Alumni Get Together【By Charles Wu】
All classmates said good-bye in the graduation summer.
Cicada is singing again and we get together.
By the dinner table, all cherish our school days.
No matter how, we cannot resume our young face .

Growing gracefully as Chinese Dodder,
The Green Pothos has yet a character.
It Swings in wind like a tough soldier.
Unfolding its spirit’s potential to soar,
Climbs along to reach the top of pole,
This Ivy is surely a winner of climber.

Cheerful ones see a baby cradle.
Some blame the bow to be horrible.
Fairy maiden climbs the cassia tree.
Celestial rabbit plays in palace free.
Treat illusions calmly at all time.
Meditation is good to your life.

金丸寂照霧曚曨 , 冬夜寒侵幾樹松。老榦盤根穿怪石 ; 堅條抱雪傲孤峰。
虯鬚葉健時棲鶴 ; 鱗甲身蟠欲化龍。翠影凌風知勁節 , 山雲默默賞貞容。

Cold Pines At Moonlight Night【By Charles Wu】
A golden sheen upon hazy mists, the winter moon shines
Whilst midnight chill seeps into the mountain pines.
Tall and silent, they stand with roots subtly entwined
On craggy rocks so ruthlessly outlined.
It is into those noble arms that soft snow fell
And how oft upon their needles so green did the cranes dwell.
Yet like writhing dragons swathed with scales
Their reach towards the sky eternally prevails.
Teasing the wind from chilly world,
Where mountain clouds gently swirled
They remain forever timeless
Regal silhouettes, ever flawless.

To make sentences rhyming, I entangle my brain.
Website comments help me to improve my work again.
Good thoughts are adopted in my poems without trace.
My deep feelings can be shown like elephant footrace.
The rhythm sounds better than striking the gold and jade.
Profound classics in famous old books can be displayed.
Immortal verse will leave good name to posterity.
Money and rank cannot bring you the same eternity.

園柳春深忽入簾 , 青絲拂帳影纖纖。梢藏鉤月濃情蘊 ; 葉舞庭階媚意添。
飛燕娛歡姿嬝娜 ; 觀音灑淨態莊嚴。雖無花樹天香色 , 卻得玉皇仙露霑。

Willow【By Charles Wu】
In late spring, the willow in our garden comes to my sight.
Its green narrow leaves cast shadows to my bed by moonlight.
The new moon hides at its tip which shows an amorous look.
It is dancing in my courtyard with a charming outlook.
Its gesture is so graceful that it plays like an actor.
Mercy Goddess picks its branch to water her follower.
Unlike the blossom tree, it does not grow fragrant flower.
It condenses dew drops which are gifts from sky emperor.

明潭迴碧蘊空靈 , 澹蕩煙波映水清。瀲灩湖光迷過客 ; 參差草色醉飛螟。
壹奩滉漾斜陽墮 ; 萬畝鴻濛白鳥經。秀麗瀛洲欣共覽 , 江山如畫入詩屏。

The Sun & Moon Lake【By Charles Wu】
The lake reflects the spirit of inspiration,
For it is misty and the calmness genuine.
The beauty scenes are fascinating.
The lake view is brilliant; the dragon-flies enjoy the green.
While the sun dances with water's rippling on its way setting,
Above the misty field of waving, some egrets fly crossing.
Very pleased to have visited with and share the land of amaze.
The beauties of scenery are worth composing poems to praise.

Music is harmonious in my chrysanthemum garden.
Under the tree, I sing joyfully but none will listen.
Like a scholar, I talk about politics boldly.
In the website, I chant poems elegantly.
When practicing calligraphy, my brush moves like dragon.
It swims as fish and runs as rabbit being beaten.
The king position with great wealth is not my aim.
A recluse in Jin Dynasty, I wish to be the same.

Tall Bottle-brush【By Charles Wu】
Its trunk is covered by scales like a pine tree.
It lures the poet and dances as willow free.
The graceful red bottle-brush plays with the wind.
Its fruit resembles money that you just win.

Chinese Calligraphy【By Charles Wu】
To improve your calligraphy, you have to practise more.
Ancient calligraphers consumed a pool of ink before.
The swiftly brushing finished as snake hiding into grass so shy.
Their penmanship is bright like the dragon flying in the sky.

A rainbow appears in the broad sky.
Clear as jade the seven colours fly.
The sun and rain play pretty even.
Brilliant bow lies in the heaven !
Flying phoenix shows magically ;
Long dragon breathes out clouds angrily.
It is a coloured belt of the fairy maiden.
Her windy smile goes all a sudden.

金房箱屋替 ; 熟蜜蔗糖充。何故冬糧食 , 甜香總不同。

Bees flutter amongst flowers busily ;
They make honey in the whole spring.
People keep them for the sake of money.
Trick is what human beings think.
The insects are loyal to their queen.
They work very hard and always sing.
Cunning guy acts as go-between.
Their home becomes a wooden thing.
Cane sugar replaces their own food
Their treasure is sold to the merchant.
Every bee asks the same question.
Why the sweet taste is not so good.

Bamboo In Qiong-lai Town【By Charles Wu】
Bamboo, what an elegant plant ,
I love the kind in “Qiong-lai” Town.
Its leaves always pointed down,
Like humble man's graceful crown.
The firm stem is so straight,
Like strong soldiers never quit.
It may swing with wind,
but it will never twinned.
In “Sze-chuan” province, it is world renown.
It becomes a stick helping those in danger.
In case of distress, it is a manager.
It is respected as a righteous sound.

Spring breeze comes with drizzle,
Moistens here and there.
Red and white and many colors,
Azalea blooms everywhere.
The leaves are Small and the flowers are delicate,
They mix well densely and charming.
The beauty of the azalea looks like
the goose's feather brightened by fire flaming.

Their hearts are still with China; though living at foreign place.
Transmitting Chinese culture to others, they have a race.
